Path

Born in Portland Oregon from immigrant

parents, grew up going back to Romania almost every year, fluent in the language and growing within both cultures.

Went to the same school from 1st through 12th grade, learning and growing alongside all ages really ingrained my sense of looking out for others well being.

Always had a sensitive and artistic mind but really leaned into my abilities through graffiti and a mural painting class my last years of high school.

Took several years before going to college to grieve a partners death and find out who I wanted to be. Discovered real expression through art during this time, really set my heart into the foundation of my self and future.

Found and fell in love with Sculpture my first year in college, which thankfully derailed my graphic design career early on.

That summer my father died which split and doubled my attention and responsibilities, bringing a new chapter of dedication to my life.

I have been digging in every medium I can get my hands into ever since.

I love creating in any way available to me, from short lived sculptures in nature to figurative painting/clay work, photography and conceptual installations.

Process

I create art the way I create myself and communicate with life.

I approach delicately to notice the inherent state of that moment, what a material naturally lends to, what intentions are present , and how they can meet in a harmony to their best fulfillment. Not holding an expectation to the unfolding of itself.

I do not like to impose a premeditated idea unless it is clearly digested and felt, if there is uncertainty Id much rather start from nothing and find what comes along the way.

I like to balance imagery and symbolism in a way that does not produce an overt or blatant message, I find pleasure in the subtleties, even if a piece is heavily weighed with certain themes it is never the sole reason behind it.

This Quality has been present and tangible in what I create before I could attempt to explain it.

I believe the ambiguity of life lends to our self exploration, and I hope to create that presence within my work and share it with others.
